Blink® Blinds + Glass Now Available in 7/8” Raise, Lower & Tilt Option

ZEELAND, Mich. – March 15, 2019 – ODL, Inc. (ODL), a leading building products supplier of decorative and clear door glass and entry treatments, now offers a 7/8” raise, lower and tilt option for its Blink® Blinds + Glass collection of blinds-between-glass, insulated glass panels for windows.

The product, known as RLT-Top, offers a contemporary, streamlined alternative to traditional blinds, and supplies superior home light control.

The versatile raise, lower and tilt operators give homeowners the ability to control light and privacy levels by changing the orientation and height of their blinds at the push of a finger. Window blinds can be raised and lowered the entire length of the window and tilted a full 180°.

Blink offers this capability in two styles and an assortment of standard and custom sizes, including:

  • 1” for fixed window styles including casement windows, picture windows and awning windows
    • Classic sizes: 14"- 36" wide by 42" - 80” tall in 1/16" increments
    • Custom sizes: 8.625” - 80" wide by 13” - 80” tall in 1/16" increments
  • 7/8” for single-hung and double-hung windows
    • 15" - 54" wide by 12" - 40" tall in 1/16" increments

“We’re able to expand the options we can offer customers by including the ability to raise and lower the blinds in addition to tilting them,” says Roger Finch, national marketing manager, ODL Retail & OEM Channels. “Customers now have even more control over the amount of natural light their home interior receives, while also maintaining dynamic control of their privacy. And we’re pleased to report that our blinds fit the majority of window and patio door styles currently on the market.”

The raise, lower and tilt blinds come housed in insulated glass panels with options for clear glass, Low-E (single or dual) coating or NEAT glass exterior coating which prevents dirt and bird droppings from sticking to the exterior glass surface and allows rain to easily wash them away.

Blink blinds offer compelling benefits for homeowners looking to add privacy and control to their exterior windows. Since the blinds are enclosed between sealed layers of glass, they do not collect dust, meaning reduced exposure to allergens and less maintenance for homeowners. All products are weather-cycle tested to insure resilience against moisture, humidity and air leakage. This weather-testing, paired with insulated glass, also provides a level of energy efficiency to help homeowners save on utility costs.

Blink is certified by the Parents for Window and Blind Safety, an advocacy group that rates window-covering products that have been found to have greatly reduced the risk of injury to children or pets. As more window covering manufacturers move away from accessible cords and follow the trend of cordless blinds, Blink already leads the industry with completely enclosed blinds and components.

Blink Classic is available in White while custom products are available in six color options – White, Tan, Sand, Silver Moon, Slate Gray and Espresso – to complement any architectural or design style.

All Blink products are assembled in America and come with a 10-year full warranty. Custom blinds-between-glass products are made to meet specific size requirements and delivered in as few as eight business days.
